October 23, 2008 Contributions Extension- Issue #4 Since we hadn't received anything for our magazine by this day, we figure we'd just "start anew" and say you have two weeks to saddle up and make it happen. The deadline is now November 6th, 2008. Our theme is AUTUMN. Leaves. Breath in the air. Decay. Hard Light. Juncos. Pumpkins. A heightening of sense. Mortality. Many things change, and this is often a time where people perennially reflect upon the nature of themselves. Why not Autumn? For many a dreamer, it's the best time of year. And if you already had something in mind to contribute, it'll fit right in. This issue is in color. 8.5" x 11" Thank you for your wonderful self and its potential offering to our magazine. Remember, it can be anything....Don't think too hard.

August 26, 2008 Call for Contributions - Issue #4 Hi humans!Look! Once Human is back in the saddle. The website is updated (completed, you might say). Previous issues are finally viewable and even downloadable as .pdf's. We're going to add more to the site in the very near future. We're moving on to our fourth issue! We're ditching the idea of a guideline for this one, as far as theme goes. Keep in mind that this issue will be in COLOR. So, if nothing comes to mind, use "color" as a theme. Send us your writing or visual artwork and we'll make something with it. Your vision is important to us, so we'll keep it intact. Our hunch is that while reviewing the contributions a theme will emerge. That's how these things go. Send all contributions to: oncehumancrew@gmail.com All submissions must be received to that e-mail address by October 24 at midnight. The magazine will be on paper again this time. We will be using a revolutionary online service called MagCloud to distribute Once Human, so you will have to go online later to order your copy. You can go to our little slice of Magcloud and browse and order any of our past issues. Pretty bad ass, as in this way, we the editors don't have to front lots of money to print these. It's very swank. It's also an experiment, so we'll see how this service performs... The size of the magazine will be 8.5 x 11 inches. Preferred formats for graphics are .jpg or .png in high resolution. 300 dpi or higher, please. If you have something you are working on that you want to share, that is absolutely a contribution. Let us know. We can do "advertising" for your project, cause, website, whatever. If anyone is interested in ordering large quantities to give away or sell in their communities, please contact us. Those of you in other far off cities with your own communities: SPREAD THE WORD! Pass this e-mail along. Send e-mail addresses to us and we will add them to our mailing list. Ok, so that's it. Direct questions to us here at oncehumancrew@gmail.com. Now get off of your ass, go create, and share your life with everyone! We want to see what YOU are up to. ~The Once Human Editorial Staff

April 19, 2008 Once Human is organizing its first campfire phonecall. If you didn't get an email about this, do email us at 2012industries@gmail.com and ask "What gives, mutha licka'?" This phone call will feature brief stories from our friends around the country, followed by a virtual burning of past transgressions and intentions into being. The phone-call-party is in celebration of Beltaine - May Day! A seasonal force to be reckoned with and recognized. This is happening at the end of the month of April... Also, on April 4, the Once Human crew paid tribute to a Mr. X on his 30th birthday. No one really cares about turning 30, we know, but a few of us created a radio show for the man, the legend, the Kusy. There's loads of original songs and spontaneity. To hear it, follow this underlined action.

January 17, 2008 Issue number 3 "Travel" exists. Click here or on the cover to enjoy. Thank you to the people who contributed this time! Something tells me that we needed a more provocative word than "travel" to entice submissions. Still, this time around we have the new website experience, and this latest issue is equipped with lots of great writings, artsies and a documentary film.
